ある日のこと。
Alchemistのライブラリーで、10代目は無邪気にレシピの断片を広げ、ホップの配合を組み替えては遊んでいた。紙束の隙間、記憶の継ぎ目。その時はまだ、何の意味も持たない、ただの暇つぶしに過ぎなかった。
不意に、裏部屋から鈍く乾いた音が響く。確かめに向かうと、棚が崩れた様子も、割れた器具もない。ただ床の中央に、どこから落ちてきたのか分からないガラスの球がひとつ転がっていた。触れても冷たさはなく、内部では影のような揺らぎが、呼吸するかのように脈を打っている。10代目はそれを気にする様子もなく、元の遊びへと戻った。
だが、その瞬間から、何かが静かに書き換わり始めていた。選ばれたわけではなく、拾ったわけでもない。ただ、そこに在るものを彼が“見てしまった”だけ。やがてその球は囁きとなり、指針となり、意思のように振る舞い始める。
闇は強引に支配などしない。ただ気付かれぬまま、選択肢をひとつずつ削ぎ落としていく。これは堕落の物語ではない。運命が、正しい順序で屈折した記録だ。
オレンジを思わせる柑橘の明るく爽やかなアロマに、熟したトロピカルフルーツの濃厚な香り。メロンなど核果の複雑さに加え、華やかな花や、ダンクでハーバルなニュアンス。さらには、鮮やかな余韻で感じられる清涼感も。

So this is supposed to be a story about how our young newly-minted Alchemist was sitting in his room (probably doing T16s and temples), heard a thud in the closet, went over to the closet and saw a crystal ball on the floor. But--I think I'd rather use this highly valuable(?) text real-estate to talk about how freaking awesome this beer is. How about Eggers freaking Diesel man. Combined with an insanely intense hit of Comet we loved on the table at Hollingbery (we all knew it was going to be good, but it absolutely slays) and a dash of A-tier Mosaic... this might be one of my favorite beers in 6 years. All the ripe tropical fruit, all of the Riwaka dankness. Vibrant, layered and even at 8.5% it's freaking refreshing. The fk. Find and drink it fresh folks.
