We're all about it being West Coast.  Not just the name or where we like to drink, but working on legit West Coast IPAs actually being crafted NOW.  Making the hops pop is the name of the game, and when you are a proper hopophile (or whatever this is) the body is literally just getting in the way.  Welcome in Firelight, our 7th anniv WC IPA offering and our first attempt at literally reducing the body EVEN MORE.  Taking inspiration from one of our favorite Long Beach artisans, we replaced a portion of what would typically be straight pilsner malt with liquid sugar, which means less color, less malt sensory, and a decidedly higher peak hop punch.  Full disclosure we could go even lower (and we will be trying it soon), but for my money this is a pretty good first take.  Notes: A blend of Nelson/Citra, we're getting vibrant grapefruit citrus, herbaceous dank/woody fresh-cut grass notes... pear/nectarine and much more.
