There's only so much you can confer from a hop, prior to literally "throwing it in and seeing what happens" (these happen to be the famous last words of the 3rd Alchemist, who was ousted instantly after he did this with Galaxy). D5 or "Ramosa" as it has been recently nomered, was purported to impart pink grapefruit / citrus and overripe pineapple sensory--but would it actually deliver?  We had a box flown over (ty Hollingbery), threw it into the cauldrons (with a little Citra booster) and we can say for certain at the very least the ripe pineapple button has been MASHED.  The Alchemist loves to bring you fun and new and interesting, and Special Delivery: Ramosa def lives up to the billing.  Not overpowering but saturated with flavor, this hazy drips with tropical vibes but isn't slapping you in the face with sensory like some of its more contemporary counterparts.  Be on the lookout for more Special Deliveries in the future, as we had a lot of fun brewing this one (and hope you have just as much fun drinking it)!
